Peter

 

Peter is responsible for administration and organization of Sabor & Salud, even though his family roots are based in agriculture. He has a degree in business administration with a focus on financial control, offering around 16 years of business experience in the latter. Logically the numbers and the company's evolution are his passion, aspects he combines with an attitude of keeping "his head in the cook's stew". He feels very proud and happy when presenting Sabor & Saluds' products.

Laia

 

Laia holds and keeps the banner of Sabor & Salud up in Catalonia, a market she is responsible of increasing its importance every day. She is in daily contact with the local customers and assumes all pertinent responsibilities  for the service being impeccable. Gastronomy and sales are her great two passions and we couldn't tell in which order. Laia is a graduate in hotel and catering management and has been active in this sector for over 15 years, primarily in sales and marketing.

 

Vanessa

 

Without doubt, Vanessa has the friendliest voice at Sabor & Salud and is the daily and direct contact of our clients. She takes the customers' orders and keeps the administration in order. One of her greatest virtues is to stay calm and efficient, even when eventualities arise, which allows her to quickly solve any problem with a smile. Vanessa is trained in business administration. Her character and spirit of surmounting provide us a great security in the management of the most daily tasks.

 

Christoph

 

He is responsible for the production planning, the farming of the ground, the sowing and the care of the more than 100 types of plants. For this he has his hands constantly in the earth. He does everything for our plants, even employing unconventional methods as music, for them to feel as pleased as he does. Where and whenever his support is required, he tackles the task. Christoph is agriculturist and stems from a farmer family. His passion for nature converts him into a forceful defender of the ecologic cultivation.

 

Esteban

 

Is an industrial administrator/manager and reinforces our team in marketing and sales. The products and the company's philosophy led him to Sabor & Salud. Being German and raised in Venezuela, he is able to perfectly combine the Spanish and German cultures. His inclination for clear structures and his accurate analysis provide a persistent foundation for the fast growth of Sabor & Salud. The technical lover with musical tendency remains on a subject until it is solved.

Our farm

Sabor & Salud's cultivated land is situated close to Vélez-Málaga between the sea and the mountains. The mild Mediterranean climate allows us to cultivate our products all year round. But the extremely hot summers are a real challenge to grow the plants! These three months between June and August defy the whole team of Sabor & Salud, demanding a complete dedication of each member.

We have covered our four greenhouses with very fine netting instead of plastic, allowing a light breeze to ease the plants' situation in these hot periods. Additional shading nets in the interior provide a more pleasant climate. This helps us to compensate the climatic differences of the year’s seasons and offers protection from the rain and the cold to the plants, as well as their abundant contact with the nature and the fresh air.

In the mornings, when the day is still fresh and cool, the harvest begins: the harvesting team swarms out like bees. Flowers are picked, classified and packed very carefully by hand. When cutting the aromatic herbs the air is filled with the freshness of their fragrances. Also the salads are handpicked, which avoids injuries of the leaves and allows the selection of the best leafs on site. This effort is a great contribution to our excellent quality.

When the harvesting is finished, the greenhouses are flooded again with quietness and tranquillity. The gardens relax in this peacefulness, breathing our fantastic climate, enjoying the wonderful daylight…

…and flourishing once again, for the next day.
